Read this article for a rundown of the fundamentals of a carbine kit, the best options on the market and how to recognize and and find the best Glock kits on the market.

Can I use any Glock for the Conversion kit?

Simple answer: No. You need to test your conversion kit ‘s compatibility to find out which Glock versions it is suitable for. Since different Glock models vary in size, calibre, and other measurements, not every conversion kit is applicable to every Glock model. The selection of Glock models compatible with our Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits can also be found out with the retailer / supplier.

Though conversion kits are available on the market that are compatible with the Gen 3, Gen 4 and Gen 5 Glocks. When you look further, you’ll find out that they are only suitable for specific models.

Aspects for Buying a Glock Carbine Conversion Kit

It can be complicated to choose a carbine conversion kit, with many aspects on a buyer’s radar. You need to consider these factors :

Dimensions (Weight and Size)

A kit for carbine conversion can drastically change your gun’s appearance, size , and weight, so you’ll want to be sure you know what you’re going to get into. It goes without saying that you’re going to have to consider where you want to store your weapon, how you’re going to use it, what is comfortable for you, and so on.

Build Quality

There are so many kits available, which have all different kind of quality standards. In particular, you want to pay attention to the quality of the used parts and be sure that the manufacturer carries out rigorous testing of their components.

If your accuracy suffers too much, there’s little point in enjoying the other benefits of a kit. While this might be of a lesser concern for short-range shooting, it should be crucial for anyone hunting or shooting sport.

Installation difficulty & methods

A kit isn’t among the simplest changes you can make. That’s not to suggest it’s incredibly complicated, but it’s going to be as challenging as the producer designed it.A very nice kit should have simple explanation and straightforward designed use to make the job as easy as possible.

Test of the Command Arms Acc – Roni Conversion Stock For Glock® Gen 3 & 4

On July 19, 1929 a man named Gaston Glock was born, who almost 50 years later constructed one of the most successful pistols of all time.

The Austrian engineer was self-employed in the 60s and 70s in the field of plastics and in 1980/81 came up with the idea of developing a new type of pistol with a plastic grip.

This was the birth of the Glock 17, but its road to success was anything but easy. The new pistol was initially smiled at and dismissed as a mayfly. Nobody could or wanted to imagine a pistol with “plastic grip” in the 80s.

But the 80s were also really difficult times in terms of taste and weapons had to be made of steel and not “plastic”.

A man named Karl Walter saw this completely different. He was already active in the gun business and sold guns from his converted camper in the USA. In Germany this was absolutely unthinkable in the USA, like so many things no problem.

He heard about the new pistol from Austria and wanted to meet this Gaston Glock. A short time later there was a conversation between Glock and Walter.

Walter was convinced of the unique concept and wanted to pave the way for the plastic pistol from Austria into the new world.

When the tender of the Austrian Army was won in 1982 and Glock thus took an immense step forward, things looked rather bleak on the American market.

Before an American in the eighties took a gun in his hand that didn’t have Colt or Smith&Wesson on it, a small miracle had to happen.

And Karl Walter wanted to perform exactly this miracle. With capital from Gaston Glock, he went to the land of unlimited possibilities and founded a small office with storage facilities in Smyrna, Georgia.

He tried to convince policemen, bodyguards and also private persons of the new pistol.

It was laborious and he added an important and crucial piece of the puzzle to his strategy. He wanted to put a Glock in a Hollywood box office hit and thus achieve success overnight.

The Glock made its appearance in “Die Hard 2” and at the latest after the sentence of Bruce Willis alias John Mc Clane the Glock became known worldwide:

“This idiot has a Glock 7 pointed at me! Do you know what that is? It’s a ceramic pistol from Germany, which you can’t see when you look at it at the airport. It costs more than you make in a month!”

But these facts did not matter, because the myth of the Glock was born and everybody wanted to know more about this mysterious weapon.

But enough from the past and the Hollywood stories, let’s focus on the Glock pistol itself.

The Glock in Detail

Glocks are extremely robust, reliable and also have a good potential for precision. Clamped from the Ransom Rest, these weapons give just as good results as makes from Heckler and Koch or similar.

The misconception is often spread about Glocks that they are imprecise. But this is due to the fact that the shooters, who have usually only used them once, cannot call up the precision because the trigger takes some getting used to.

But we admit it: The trigger of a Glock is hard and for this reason all Glock pistols purchased from us are equipped with the 2.0kg control spring as standard. Standard is the 2.5kg control spring.

If you want to get the trigger weight of your Glock even further down, you can take it. There are matching tuning spring sets available, which replace all springs that are relevant for the trigger weight.

However, if you use your weapon for business and are dependent on the weapon’s 110 percent function, you may want to refrain from using them. By changing to a softer firing pin spring, ammunition with very hard primers may fail to fire. If one out of 500 cartridges fails to ignite, the sports marksman will certainly not care, but a policeman or bodyguard can find himself in a life-threatening situation.

  • Sights
  • Rubber grip overcoat
  • Handle weights
  • School Supports
  • Bar magazines
  • Drum magazines
  • Compensators
  • Mountings for red dot sights
  • Handle extensions
  • Front grips

It would definitely go beyond the scope of this list. But what we have not yet mentioned are the so-called the best Carbine Conversion Kits. With these kits a Glock can be converted into a handy carabiner with a few simple steps. More about this later.

Glock 17

The 17 was the first pistol that Glock put on the market. All subsequent models are derived from it. It belongs to the full size models and probably has the widest range of accessories and tuning parts.

With a little practice, it can be used for sporty shooting and its purchase price is extremely attractive like any Glock.

With the 17+1 magazine capacity of the standard magazine there are enough resources available in terms of firepower. It is not for nothing that the Glock 17 is used in many armies (British armed forces, Swedish armed forces as P88, New Zealand armed forces, Austrian armed forces as Pistol 80). Not to mention all the police units around the world.

Glock 34

The sporty trimmed Glock 34 belongs to the competition models. With its long sighting line and the 2kg control spring installed ex works, combined with the high breech mass, this is a high-precision pistol that has found wide acceptance with the IPSC.

So if you are looking for a cheap, reliable and robust 9mm, which is mainly used for sportive shooting, you should definitely give the Glock 34 a chance, especially if you combined it with one of the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits in the ranking above.

Glock 19

The Glock 19 is the all-rounder among the 9mm Glocks. With its 15 shot magazine capacity and compact dimensions, this model is ideal for authorities and hunters.

The MEK (Mobiles Einsatz Kommando) and SEK (Sonder Einsatz Kommando) rely on this model because of the balanced ratio between firepower and command.

Glock 26

To carry a weapon undercover, it must be as compact as possible. In the 9mm family, we find two offshoots here. The Glock 26, which can still hold at least 10 rounds with its double row magazine.

For a long time it was with its 560g weight the smallest and lightest 9mm Glock until 2015 when the Glock 43 was introduced at the IWA.

Glock 43

The Glock 43 is the youngest offspring of the 9mm Glock family. It is not only a sub-compact model, but also has slim line dimensions, which make it ideal for concealed carrying. The Slim Line dimensions take their toll on the magazine capacity. The single row magazine gives the small pistol 6+1 shots, which is still more than a revolver. As a backup weapon and for concealed carrying it is certainly the best choice among the 9mm Glocks.

If you want to take the Glock theme even further, a stock system provides you with an extremely easy to use, functional and reliable weapon.

The stock system Command Arms Acc – Roni Conversion, which is available for Glock 17, 18, 22, 31, 19, 23, 25, 32, can also be purchased in our shop.

In the package we find our shaft system, a flip up sight, a bungee sling with QD interface, 2 thumb rests, an installation guide and a suitable Allen key.

The shaft system makes a very good impression. Line management, processing, functionality are parameters that stand out at first sight.

Overview & Handling

The Command Arms Acc – Roni Conversion Stock For Glock is mainly made of a matt black polymer. Some components are made of metal, but these are manageable. This also results in a low weight, which has a positive effect on the guidance.

In the front area there is a generous muzzle opening, on which the compatible Glock models are also printed.

Underneath there is a dummy, which serves as a placeholder for a possible lamp or laser. In Germany we unfortunately have to do without such extensions for legal reasons.

Somewhat behind it there is a slot in which a spare magazine can be stored.

This also serves as a practical handle and allows an optimal handling of the shaft system.

On the Command Arms Acc – Roni Conversion Stock For Glock there are several Picatinny rails which can be used for accessories and/or the mounting of a lens. A Flip-Up sight, comparable to the Magpul MBUS is included.

The stock system has a folding stock, which guarantees a very good guidance. The hinge locks excellently and makes the folding stock sit bomb-proof in the shoulder. The rubberized butt plate improves the handling even more.

Also on board is a QD interface, which makes it possible to attach the bungee sling with a ball pressure strap.

The installation of a Glock in the Roni stock system is really easy and goes easily by hand:

  1. Open the Command Arms Acc – Roni Conversion Stock and remove the loading lever.
  2. Mount the loading lever on the rear part of the bolt of the corresponding Glock pistol.
  3. Push the Glock with the loading lever into the case, push it forward until it locks with a click and then close the stock system.

Overall, it’s a perfect choice for a fast setup that provides options to maintain comfort and improve the Glock ‘s current precision. The main critique will be that this will be a good blueprint for rendering ambidextrous, although it would have little real effect on the overwhelming majority of consumers. This makes it suitable only for right-handed people, as it is.

What the Buyers are reporting

Most users seem to be impressed by the ease of installation, the perfect fit, the optimum performance and the possibilities to add accessories. While some users mentioned that the kit has to be set to fit, it was a simple process and not very technical. The rails from Picatinny are perfect for adding accessories and the kit looks pretty cool.

Why we recommend it

This ACC conversion kit is capable of turning your Glock 17 into a fully functional rifle within minutes. The stock is overly tactical, and has plenty of room to add additional accessories. The extra barrel included with the stock will help you bring your G17 ‘s accuracy up to rifle level. Also noteworthy are the rear mag holder, detachable foregrip, and safety trigger guard lever.

The RONI C-G2 is fitted with a wide 16 “barrel to fall not inside NFA rules and is ideal for someone who wants an alternative that appears more offensive. This also increases strength and flexibility and you’ll still be equipped for every situation. It also provides several good features including a detachable forearm folding grip, a tray for the rear magazine and a trigger guard safety lever. It provides an adjustable cheek-rest for your comfort.

It also has the basics covered, because many accessories are supported by the RONI C-G2. You’ll be able to combine sights, night vision, and magnifiers with a 10 “upper flattop rail. Meanwhile a side rail of 5 “Picatinny allows lasers or lights on either leg. Total system with a suppressor amounts to a diameter of up to 35.5 mm.

We appreciate that Command Arms has designed this carbine conversion kit with an ambidextrous design in mind which extends to the security of the trigger-guard as well as the quick and simple cocking handle. Overall, a number of uses and configurations are really helpful. Nonetheless, you should be mindful it only suits Gen 3 or 4 of the Glock, also the 17 and 17C versions are included.

How does it work? You should be able to increase your Glock’s effective range by at least an estimated 35 to 55 yards, but it is definitely possible to go beyond this with experience and proper configuration. Given how well the RONI C-G2 can be accommodated, it can certainly be equipped for much further use in practice.

Who should buy this kit

The package is ideal for those who are more confident with rifles. As the package does not need an NFA, you can use it as a self-defense tool to hold it in your vehicle. In fact, enhancing the Glock ‘s handling performance also allows it to be a strong weapon for home defence.

The ACC conversion package was developed exclusively for the Gen 3 and 4 Glock 17’s, including other similar versions. The kit has sufficient space for accessories, while the extra barrel improves precision and efficiency by tenfold. A kit necessary for tactical uses and defense.

For users who need a lot of flexibility or versatility in their configuration, the RONI C-G2 is a great Glock carbine conversion package as it fits a large range of users and uses.

Are pistol carbine conversion kits legal?

Before you go about implementing one of the conversion kits in our guide, being aware of the applicable laws is critical. As these vary from state to state, if you are not well versed in your local laws it is easy to end up on the wrong side of the law.

Let’s start with a bit of info. The NFA does not regulate your average handgun and rifle whilst the short-barreled rifles are. You will complete the identification and pay taxes through the ATF. Okay, what is the concept of a pistol, weapon, or short-barreled firearm?

The response is given for in Federal Law 27 CFR 478.11. Handguns have a small stock and are able to be carried and shot in one hand, which is still possible with the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits in the ranking. A rifle is a weapon designed to fire from your shoulder. Short-barreled rifles have barrels about 16 inches in length with a total length of less than 26 inches. This includes collapseable stocks when they are fully extended unless the stock is detachable.

Meaning of Gun Laws

Let’s put it all together: No special NFA compliance is required to move from a handgun to a rifle. Be mindful, though, that if the weapon winds up from the shoulder shooting and does not fulfill the standard of 16-inch barrel-length or 26-inch overall-length, you have produced a short-barreled firearm lawfully. This will then need to be registered with the ATF, then paid first.

Now, if you’re applying a vertical foregrip, it’s moving into a grey territory. It is not built to be shot from one hand or from the shoulder. The short answer is, it falls into the “other” category, it must be registered.

You should also be aware of state laws, as we have dissected this is the Federal Law. You are hopefully aware that states may and do often enact legislation to ban specific products, so whether you consider yourself in breach, whether or not those rules are found to be unconstitutional does not matter in the short run.

When you catch yourself in a circumstance where you don’t recognize because it seems to be a “grey zone,” error on the side of caution, because at a state level, the crime entails serious fines, including up to ten years of jail, so that’s just not worth that.

All kind of Glock Style Carbine Conversion Kits

A number of carbine kits are available and each of the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits transforms the Glock into something special. Such basic transitions may include:

Shoulder Stock

This can be done in a variety of ways, often by implementing a holster fastened to the grip of the pistol which can be used as a shoulder stock.

With this feature the kit front can slide forward allowing various accessories to be mounted.

Foldable Stock

With certain kits, you may have a foldable stock, which is also detachable.

Barrel length increased

A longer barrel length may be introduced for improved precision, sometimes paired with a shoulder plate, and most sometimes occasionally in carbine kits.

Conversion kits are not, as you can see, a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather intended to find a custom solution to a common problem: the Glock limitations. Although the Glock is an outstanding weapon, our Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits allow it to work more effectively like a rifle. Furthermore, that will carry legal implications up fast, as we should cover towards the conclusion of our article.

Getting the right carbine conversion package may be complicated business for your Glock, but there’s nothing complicated about how useful they can be to significantly improve a Glock ‘s efficiency. To determine the best conversion kit for you, use our guide but be sure to follow all applicable laws.

In particular, pay close attention to our careful dissection of how different firearms are defined to prevent you from winding up afoul and paying a hefty price. You can navigate the laws and the market with our guide to enjoy a perfectly legal and hefty upgrade to the capabilities of your Glock.

Does it still make sense to buy a Glock?

The Glock was a brilliant development! It has been built for about 35 years without any major improvements/changes. This shows how good the concept was back then. The concept was groundbreaking for whole generations of pistols. But H&K was the first to introduce the plastic grip to the market with the VP70. I had my Glock 17 for about 9 years.

I have fired about 5000 rounds with it and had about 4 jammings, whereby at least 2 were caused by bad ammunition. I had been thinking about selling it for a long time, but it was simply my pistol with which I had experienced a lot and I knew that it would never let me down when I needed it. But one day, when I held the Heckler & Koch SFP9-SK in my hands, my decision to sell and replace my Glock was made within minutes, but i changed my mind when i got to know the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits.

The Glock has long since become obsolete, except with our Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits, which transform the gun into a whole new weapon. Its security concept has two major problems. The trigger is too light for a defensive pistol, so that accidents with it occur time and again. Especially in the private sector where often no high-quality holsters are used, it can quickly happen that something gets caught in the trigger. The concept of such weapons is designed for high-quality authority holsters. The second problem is that you have to pull the trigger to disassemble it, which is completely unacceptable for a modern pistol.

It is a simple calculation of how many “bullet cancellers” there are each year when a police authority purchases the Glock. For this reason, in some US states, police officers are not allowed to disassemble their Glock for cleaning.

Instead, they carry out inspections at very short intervals, taking it to the workshop. Another big problem for government orders so far was that the lock was only on one side and could not be moved. This alone did not meet the technical guidelines for police weapons in Germany.

Now comes the all-decisive question: Why should you buy a Glock 17 for 700,- nowadays when you can get a H&K SFP9 for 750,-? Or a CZ P10 for only 480 Dollars. In my opinion the answer can only be the extensive range of accessories for the Glock, especially combined with the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits. I myself, however, firmly reject almost all tuning measures, and attachments of accessories, to defense weapons. Sports shooters are welcome to do so, but those who want a defensive weapon should rather rely on the construction of the manufacturer as it is. HERE I already tell you something about my experiences with such conversions.

And also who wants to have such a small and narrow pistol like the Glock 43 should rather have a look at the Walther PPS or the Sig365. Taurus also has some such guns for little money.

Take a look at the CZ P-10 Micro, which has just been introduced. At first sight, it doesn’t differ much from the Glock 43, which is suitable for our Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits, it has a pin that has to be pressed out of the case. This is more complicated than a lever, but it is much safer. Additionally it has no outer slide catch lever. This has only partly to do with the fact that you want to make the weapon narrower.

Because in modern weapon positions, where both thumbs rest on the side of the grip, a breechblock catch lever is almost always pressed down and the weapon does not remain open after the last shot. For this reason, the new Russian army pistol Udav no longer has a breechblock lever. In addition, the P-10 Micro will cost 100 Dollars less than a Glock, and is already delivered with a tritium sight.

Glock will probably suffer the same fate as Mag-Lite. Mag-Lite still exists, but they only produce “bullshit” that nobody wants to have anymore. In 20 years Glock will have missed the boat and will be off the market. Since the introduction of the Glock 17, for example, H&K has launched the USP, P2000, P 30 and SFP9. Each in whole model families in different sizes, with training weapons etc. For me, Glock means standstill in weapon development, except upgrading it with our Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits in the ranking above. And that is certainly not what shooters strive for.

In the meantime I could gain some experience not only with the 4th generation of the Glock, but also with the Glock 46 (authority weapon with barrel). And I stick to my conclusion: Glock will suffer massive shipwreck in a few years… I would not buy a Glock any more without adding the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits! And I certainly wouldn’t buy a Glock 46 without the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits either.

I once spoke to a RUAG representative. This is the general importer of Glocks in the US. He said the Glock with the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits has no safety problem disassembling it. “Shooting accidents during disassembly would only occur with authorities due to lack of training”. This is completely true!

In the meantime I could gain some experience not only with the 4th generation of the Glock, but also with the Glock 46 (government weapon with barrel). And I stick to my conclusion: Glock will suffer massive shipwreck in a few years… I would not buy a Glock any more! And I certainly wouldn’t buy a Glock 46 either.

I once spoke to a RUAG representative. This is the general importer of Glocks in Germany. He said the Glock has no safety problem disassembling it. “Shooting accidents during disassembly would only occur with authorities due to lack of training”. This is completely false! If an authority has 10,000 armed employees, it is easy to calculate after a few years how many bullet solvers will be involved in cleaning weapons next year. This has nothing to do with the training of the weapon carriers! You can train the emergency services as you like, but accidents will still happen. It is simply a safety problem with the Glock. And the manufacturer has no interest in solving this massive problem. That’s pretty weak. Other manufacturers solve such problems quickly, but Glock is not interested at all, which is why you need the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits in the ranking to upgrade it substantionally. And to pass the problem on to the users and blame them for it is pathetic.

I have no regrets about buying my Glock combined with the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits. Look at guns like the Rex Delta, the IWI Masada, the Beretta APX, H&K SFP9, the Steyr A2 MF or the Sig P320. Technically, Glock has not been able to keep up with these modern pistols for a long time without the Best Glock Carbine Conversion Kits. And since I have received a lot of criticism for my opinion, especially from Austria, I want to tell you clearly that Steyr quickly recognized this safety problem. The old Steyr M9 pistol also had to be knocked off for disassembly. But since the employees of Steyr took responsibility, this problem was solved very quickly. And the current Steyr pistols are technically up to date and simply superior to the Glock pistols.

The EGP65 was the cheapest and simplest alarm pistol from Erma. It has a simple and ingenious “forced control”. The trigger guard is extended to the rear so that it can only be pulled down for disassembly if the magazine has been removed beforehand.

With the Walther PPS, the weapon is safely released by removing the grip back. Only then is the dismantling lever activated.

The H&K SFP9 also has a “forced control”. Only after removing the magazine and pulling it back from the breech can the disassembly lever be folded down. It is therefore impossible for a cartridge to remain in the gun after disassembly. You do not have to pull the trigger to disassemble these weapons. Hardly any other service pistol can compete with this safety concept of the SFP9. This safety concept is so ingenious that some procurers find it difficult to justify the purchase of other service pistols. And yet many gun owners believe the slanders of the competition against H&K (alleged collusion with the procurers of authorities etc.).
